Rest In Peace - みえ Wendy Chan. This was her last FB updates after she passed away @ Penang yesterday around 10am in the morning.

みえ: no updates? Wondering whats up? yea well ... still the same - sick, in out of hospital, rest at home, same shit everyday... There's no end to my suffering now until its all over! I wonder when =.=" I gotta work on it! Cheer myself, encourage myself, pull myself up!!! oh dear me ... its tiring!!

みえ aka Wendy Chan was one of my bff's sister in law. She's used to be quite close to me when she's back in KL. Celebrated my 19th birthday with me, shisha-ed, lepak, food hunting, camho and all together. She is also one of us, advertlets blogger as well. She blogged @ http://mi33.blogspot.com. Do check out ya. I didn't know that she was sick and hospitalize till Suetmei told me that she was sick and will not have much time more on this earth as she's suffering a lot of problems which I'm not sure what but for all I know that she's not gonna live any longer. Claimed by Suetmei. Thus I was quite worried about it, thought of planning to visit her anytime soon in the early January until yesterday morning, I got an sms from Suetmei saying that Wendy passes away!

I was totally out of words, I don't know what to respond. I was shocked for a moment and realize that I WAS LATE to even say goodbye/talk/see her for one last time. She's one of my closest friend who'd passed away. So far none of my family members, close friend, relative or anyone close pass away and she was my first one apart from my Grandfather which was happened almost 10 over years ago. So this is something rare to me for not able to see her anymore.

Guess what, after not seeing her for so long. She was busy working in SG, traveling around the world. And look what happened to her?

This was taken in PARIS. Look, she's so super slim already. You can compare with pictures above. I cannot believe it, even she's underweight and seriously, I prefer the old her. Even I don't have the determination to do that. I don't know whether this transformation that made her unwell, im not sure. I will seek for more details about her death.

Stated that Wendy has completed her task on earth, she is in GOD's hand now. She will be at Batu Gantung, behind Penang Turf Club until 8th Jan 2011 11am. Unfortunately I have to organize an event here in KL which is the Advertlets laser tag outing, I must be there and I can't make it to her funeral. It's happening at the same date, same time start & end. Oh nos!

To Bryan, her husband. I'm so sorry bro for your lost. my deepest condolence. I know it's hard for you to accept it but stay strong bro.

Final Note : Although she won't be seeing this, but I still needa tell her this.

Thanks you Wendy Jie for being such an amazing friend to me since the day I know you. Thanks for everything especially being our "Guru Besar" for the Mag7 of all ur young ones; Suetmei, Vivian, Serra, Elaine, Xiowei, Haithal, Joshua and Myself. It's really a sudden lost to me. It's very hard to accept and believe that this is happening. What more can I say? May you rest in peace and I will never ever forget you. You will always be in my heart, Our heart. Thanks for being my friend. Rest In Peace - Wendy Chan.

Life is short. So cherish the loved ones around u before it's too late.

Let's do a lil recap. Year 2010 had been great to me. A lot of changes in within a year for me since I join Advertlets and I can say that this year was the best year for me so far. Thus, Me and Advertlets did organized a very successful party to end the year 2010. Around 40 of them came in total for the party & the dinner. All in different time. For those who missed it, too bad cause we've been very generous this time. Sponsoring liquors, hotel suite, foods, party, songs and all for countdown. Nevertheless, I would thank you all of you bloggers and friends for coming to Advertlets BlogStar party last year 31st Dec 2010 @ Skewers & Summit Hotel Suite.

#Maxis 10 Thankyou Note - HTC Desire Z

As many of you know, I was given the opportunity by Maxis 10 and HTC to review the HTC Desire Z. I was lucky and blessed enough to be given a chance like this and I have enjoyed participating in this review. Not only have I been given the opportunity to try out something that is new in the market but I have also been given the chance to experience something new altogether.

It has been an absolute delight to learn more about this phone and after using it for this period of time, I find that I really do enjoy using this phone a lot more compared to others. Compare to the one im using right now, Blackberry Curve 3G. As some of you knew that I've totally gave up my Curve and switch to the HTC Desire Z, it has so many features which makes life so much easier for me and I have become attached to it. Seriously.

Therefore, I would really like to express my thanks and gratitude to #Maxis10 for giving me this opportunity. Thanks a lot! Chances like this do not come by often and I am grateful for having been one of the chosen few to review the HTC Desire Z.

HTC SENSE is an entirely unique experience and its design revolves around many little ideas to bring you an experience that you will never forget. What makes it so unique is the simplicity of it all. It makes you wonder why nobody else has taught of it before. With HTC SENSE, everything makes sense. It's a phone experience that you will never forget for it continues to surprise you and guarantees to delight you every single time.

These are just a few of my favourite things about HTC SENSE.

*when it rings..

- No More Awkward Moments

Many of us are faced quite often with that awkward moment when your phone starts to ring during a movie or a meeting. For me, this happens fairly often and I haven't kicked the habit of forgetting to silence it when there is a need to. But with the HTC SENSE, you can avoid embarrassing yourself because the moment you pick up the phone to see who is calling, the ringing volume will decrease instantly. If you want to silence it, just flip it over and it will silence immediately thus saving you from an awkward moment.

- No More Missed Calls

Another problem that I face on a daily basis is not hearing my phone whenever it rings if it is kept somewhere in my bag or if I am in a noisy area. But this problem is solved now with HTC SENSE as the phone knows when it is tucked away and will ring loud enough for you to hear and capture your attention. So now I can avoid missing any important calls just because I am too deaf to hear my phone ringing.

- An Icebreaker For Your Calls

Sometimes, we get a call from a certain person but we just do not have much to say to them be it because we haven't seen them in ages or your mind is just blank at the moment. But now, HTC SENSE allows you to see the caller's latest social updates so you will the have so much to say even before the conversation starts. Personally, I really like this feature as it helps to keep me updated with my friends life as well.

- No More Jumping Between Apps To Keep Up With Friends

I dislike having to constantly switch between applications to check out a certain update from someone. It is especially annoying when that person has Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare.. just about every social application there is. But HTC SENSE makes it all less annoying now because they have a feature where you just tap on a friend's name and all their details will appear together. So, now I can check out my friend's Facebook updates, Twitter updates, contact details etc all in one go. It makes life so much easier.

- Say It Once Post It Everywhere

As a blogger, I constantly have to update almost every social platform that I have individually whenever I have something to announce. It is quite annoying and sometimes I forget if I have already updated that particular application or platform. HTC SENSE once again makes it easier by updating ALL my applications and social platforms in one go for me.

*the Internet..

- It's A Perfect Fit

The problem I always have with zooming in or out of a screen is that the text doesn't always fit on my screen. I will then have to scroll left and right continuously to read something. HTC SENSE has solved this problem for me as it makes the text all fit perfectly regardless of how much I zoom in or out of the screen.

*when you're on the road..

-Use Maps That Never Keep You Waiting

One thing about using maps on the phone is that they take time to load. Having to constantly see little grey areas can sometimes be quite infuriating especially when I am in a rush. HTC SENSE does not make you wait though. There is zero waiting time as the maps are already loaded right on your phone. This cuts down my waiting time and makes everything so much faster.

- Never Miss A Turn Because Of A Call

Usually while using maps on phones, the map will vanish whenever a call comes in. This obviously makes things much harder for me when I'm driving. There are times when I need the map and I need to use the phone at the same time to talk to someone. And HTC SENSE allows me to do just that. It allows me to still use my map though I am on the phone. This way, I never ever miss a single turning just because the map on my screen vanished.

These are just a few of the many things that HTC SENSE can do for you. As you can see, it does make life a lot easier in the simplest of ways. It kind of makes you wonder why it took so long for anyone to come up with this. But now that HTC SENSE is available, I'm loving all the little things it does for me and it definitely is one of the many perks of using the HTC Desire Z. It has so many uses and I guarantee that it will make everything so much more fun and easy for all of you and not just me ;)

#Maxis 10 - HTC Desire Z Camera & Video Function for Japanese Restaurant Nagomi Food Review

Last week, got an invitation to a Food Review @ a Japanese Restaurant called Nagomi. Located at Jaya33, Petaling Jaya. Anyway, this would be a combination post of Nagomi Food Review + #Maxis 10 - HTC Desire Z :) Something new, this is because I wanted to test the camera function of the HTC Desire Z. So throughout the whole night, I totally used my Desire Z to take pictures of closeups foods shots!

For the Camera part for the HTC Desire Z.
The exiting part for me is the camera/video function on the HTC Desire Z. All of you know that Imma photographer who uses Nikon D300s. So I'm quite fussy about cameras which does not perform the standard as it suppose to be. Let's have a quick look on HTC Desire Z camera function.

The HTC has a decent 5-megapixel autofocus camera with flash which despite having less pixels than the Desire HD’s 8-megapixels. The results are quite good especially under good lighting conditions YES but more often, it’s prone to blurring even with steady hands when taking the shot. Like seriously. Focusing is not lightning quick and I would recommend using the on-screen shutter button instead of the dedicated camera button to reduce shake.

Photo enthusiasts will appreciate a solid shutter, alongside a virtual one. Autofocus is quick (and you can tap to focus) but there’s slight lag between depressing the shutter and the photo being taken, it’s not terrible by any means, but certainly not fantastic for fast-moving action.

Photos are fine, without being fantastic. Colors are bright, detail is sharp, especially close-ups, you can make tweaks to the sharpness, contrast, exposure and saturation. Like the Desire HD we found Auto white balance produces the most accurate results, Daylight looks unnatural. Be careful using the ISO settings, noise is really visible around ISO 400 and ISO 800 is practically unusable. The single - instead of dual - flash is surprisingly powerful, so the Desire Z will easily illuminate a small room.

What I like about its camera is the different effects you can choose prior to taking a shot and also the post-processing effects. You can take a shot with live effects such as depth of field, vignette, distortion, vintage, etc.

Here's the end product. Some photos below are taken using the Desire Z. With flash and without flash.

(Above) Not bad for a point and shoot camera. At least it's better than my Blackberry Curve 3G.

(Below) Close up macro shots I took from a food review at Nagomi Japanese Restaurant. Below photos are expended to the height of 720P. Motive is to see the true quality of the camera function.

Close up objects shots with a perfect amount of light, the pictures would turned out very nice. But, all the shots are not advisable to take with flash as I don't really believe in direct flash. Only uses it when I'm desperate for light. Eg. in CLUBS and super dark places.

This was taken using Vintage mode! December birthday babes Vivian and Samantha. Instant iPhone4 Instagram lol. Damn nice right?

For the video part for the HTC Desire Z.
720p footage isn’t fantastic. Although it’s smooth and bright, detail seems soft and lacking definition, for example in one test shot leaves on a tree appear so soft they tend to blur into each other and in another you can’t see the fine detail on brickwall on a house. So if 720p video is your choice, we’d suggest the iPhone 4 or Samsung Galaxy S instead :)

Finally, I have some spare time to update 7ASTE event which happened last week or two at PJ Trade Centre, Hex & Mayfair. The theme for this year - NEW YORK! Which reminds me of Empire State of Mind by JayZ and Alicia Keys.

I gonna be honest, this was the BEST 7ASTE event so far since the first one. It was a BLAST! The drinks was good! The crowd, the music, performance and what's a party without you're friends to party along with you. Thanks for the great event, 7ASTE. Was a great honor to be one of your VIP guest list. iPhone, HTC Desire Z or Desire HD? #Maxis 10

After 2 weeks plus using the HTC Desire Z and finally yesterday, I've did a comparison on my HTC desire Z and the Desire HD! I did had my own sweet time to explore around. The pros and cons between 2 gadgets. Also includes iPhone and Blackberry.

First and foremost, the HTC Desire HD is really really HUGE! and SLIM. It's pleasant on the eye but not on your palm or pocket. I prefer the size of the Desire Z. but not the thickness of the Z. lol.

I've also put an iPhone right beside as well to compare on checking the speed of 3 phones. with all the same telco service provider, same location, Google-ing the same thing (Boxing Day). Apparently the (Apple iPhone 3G) loads the fastest, followed by the HD and the Z with almost the same time. WOW! I'm surprised. I don't understand why? In fact it's slower for like 5-6 seconds.

Not to mention, I realize my Desire Z eats up a lot of battery! A full charged battery can't last for the whole day of cause. If continuously using it, (games, music, surfing web, social media sites, notifications etc) guess it would just last only for 4-5 hours MAX. Same goes to the iPhone 3G and the 3Gs. But not too sure about iPhone 4 though. But good thing is, you can do the alternative by purchasing another battery for the HTC Desire Z as backup? iPhone's can't! You'll need a external charger/charger/car charger where ever you go. but stilll....

Also, as you know the back battery cover of the Desire Z is made from aluminum. It's nice to know it's not plastic. lol but when it starts to get hot, it's not really pleasant to touch. Battery life is very important for me. I need to keep my phone alive for email's, calls, messages, social media and so on. But the Desire Z's battery life is not that strong/long lasting enough for my needs.

Apart from that, another issue I would love to highlight for Apple and HTC gadgets is (Transferring files from PC -Phone OR Phone -PC)

I hate the fact that Apple requires iTunes to transfer all data, photos, videos and whatsoever media which is in there. Plus the SYNC takes ages to load. I gave up? cause I was an iPhone user before I change to Blackberry Curve and now HTC Desire Z. Basically, I've used all brands of phones and I know what's convenient for me for files transferring. In this case, HTC and Blackberry WINS. It's as simple as dragging items into your phone folder. No password or ID required and so on.

I've got more to highlight! About the sound quality for the Desire Z. What happen to the BASS on the phone? I have no idea whether it's my ears problem or what? I don't get to hear any BASS from the Desire Z. Weird! There's no bass control, treble control whatsoever. Am not happy about the sound quality. In this case, I would say Blackberry WINS for the clarity, bass, treble, sound quality etc.

On the other hand, noticed the (black colour square Track Pad) on the Desire Z (Middle) ? I guess we don't really need that. For the pass 2 weeks I never even touch the track pad before. WHY?

It's touch screen. You'll touch the screen instead of the Track Pad. Unless It's Blackberry.
There's already a HOME, MENU, UNDO and SEARCH touch above the Track Pad.
It's not proportionate. The Track Pad should be at the middle of the phone for the position of our thumb. (eg: like the Blackberry would be a good example)
It's totally not necessary. The Desire HD (Right) would be a better example. NO Track Pad at all. Agree?

About HTC Sense.com. I tried loading the website also to my phone but it seems like I'm having a problem loading it. Dammit! But nevertheless the features (HTC Sense) is really awesome.

What's HTC Sense means?

HTC Sense is an experience designed around many little insightful ideas. Ideas that seem so simple, you think "why hasn't any one else thought of that? It just makes sense." It's a phone experience full of lots of little surprises, delighting you every time.

How rare you can see this around nowadays? Well, you can witness & get a ride on the hot air balloon if you went for Taylor’s University - Lakeside Campus Open Day last Friday, Saturday OR Sunday. Yes I was there once again this year for a whole campus tour experience on Malaysia's State-Of-The-Arts Modern Tropical University Campus.

Firstly, here's a lil introduction about Taylor's University Lakeside Campus.

A total investment of RM450 million Taylor's Lakeside Campus in early 2007 is indeed an exciting phase in Taylor's 38-year-old history and underscores its continued commitment to self-development. It marks another milestone in Taylor's history where great strides have been made since 1969. Set on 27 acres of tropical greenery near Jalan PJS 7/5, the campus will be surrounded by a revived 5.5 acre man-made lake, as well as a landscape of water plants, trees and flowering shrubs and ground cover.

Pretty amazing ain't it? I'm sure it's everyone's dream place to study after SPM. lol. Apart from that, the Open Day was filled with lots of interesting activities, workshops, career talks, campus tour visitation and so on. Guess I've got a lot to elaborate about Taylor's Uni.

As promised, you'll see a student designed car built by Formula Varsity Race Champion Team from the School of Engineering! Not to mention that you can even test drive the car.

Apart from the activities which you seen earlier, here comes the serious part of what's the purpose being in Taylor’s University Open Day. In sight from Taylor's MPH, seeing a lot of parents brought their kids along to the Open Day for course inquiry/counseling session/future planning etc.

What course I have in mind is : School of Computing and IT. Heard the rumors that Taylor's have more than 100 Apple iMac. I've seen it with my own eyes. Believe it! And so, I've been given a brief idea why you and me should study here in Taylor's.

Moving on to other service and academic facilities Taylor's University - lakeside Campus have. Be ready to be impressed of all the exclusive fercilities.

Design Studios. Designing School students get to enjoy some facilities such as The Gallery & Critique Room, Drawing Room & Printmaking Room, Photo Studio and Design Mac Lab.

They also have this 24/7 study room beside the library where it actually opened 24 hours everyday for students to study! All Martial Arts Exhibition (AMAE)

The All Martial Arts Exhibition, AMAE is an activities-based event showcasing the different styles of self defence techniques and the benefits of practicing martial arts to individuals and society in regards to self-discipline, confidence, health, mutual respect, patience and so much more. All this will be highlighted through demonstrations and workshops.

One of the main objectives of AMAE is to cultivate interest in the practice of martial arts in youth and adults. Designed as a family day, AMAE will have activities suited to young and old and with fantastic prizes to be won. It’ll be a fun weekend for everybody.

AMAE will also carry a Health & Wellness Convention which aims to work as a supporting element to the main event. This program will highlight healthy living tips in the workshops, emergency demonstrations by medical professionals, exercise techniques and demos and so much more.

#Maxis 10 Reviewers Programme - HTC Desire Z

A continuation of my post about the previous #Maxis 10 Reviewers Programme - HTC Desire Z Here's another part of review post for the Desire Z. Read what I have to say!

I've been using this phone for almost 2 weeks already since I got it from Maxis. It has been such a great phone to me compare to what I'm currently using before I got the Desire Z, Blackberry Curve 3G. I can give out tons of points/facts of what HTC Desire Z could be a better phone for me. Even the iPhone 4. I personally think that the HTC Desire Z are quietly brilliant.

I would admit that both phones are brilliant. Both device has pros and cons. To narrow down the cons in each phone. On my own personal opinion, I will state a few here to compare which is worth buying.

Comparison.
iPhone 4 : Face time, HD 720p Video camera, 5 Mega pixel camera, IOS4, multitask, retina crystal clear screen display, LED flash, internal memory 16GB, 32GB, RAM 512 MHz.

Desire Z : HTC Sense, All in one Inbox, Offline GPS/Maps, 5 Mega pixel camera with different shooting modes, 720p HA video recording, LED flash, ANDROID 2.2 (Froyo), Dual touch screen & qwerty keyboard, RAM: 800 MHz, Memory card slot.

It's pretty obvious that the Android is leading. ngek. Agree?

We would get the point of a Z-hinge, if we could tilt the screen up, but in this case, meh, just one more thing that could easily break. Especially worrying is that the thin cable, which connects the LCD display to the chipset, is exposed upon opening and closing, but, hey, a company has to stand out somehow, right?

I would flip down the keyboard when it comes to messaging. As you know I have thick and fat fingers. haha I used to miss type the alphabets wrongly on the touch screen. But i like touch screen features when it comes to task except texting/messaging.

It enables me to put all my email accounts in one inbox.

We all have different email accounts – work, home, social and more email's for other purposes. But now you don’t have to keep jumping between them. HTC Desire Z grabs emails from each of your different accounts and puts them all into one inbox. How awesome is that? It's less fussy for me to keep signing in and off as i needa switch email account. I have 2 email account which I'm using quite active for my work & personal life. It had made my life easier :)

When you have to do lots of things at once, you want a phone that can do the same. With its quick processor, HTC Desire Z lets you access work emails and calendars with Microsoft Exchange, view Microsoft Office documents and research online, all at the same time. It's very organize as I wont miss a friend's birthday or even miss any appointment. In fact, I don't really need a PA already.

Favorites contacts never been this nice before. I like the thumbnail version of how they display my favorite contacts. It brings more feel on using the phone don't you think? iLIKE!

Fast forward another two years, and developing for Android is profitable enough to have filled the Android Market with more than 100 000 applications. There's a lot of Free applications/games available on Android market already.

I used to play this game on my ex-iphone 3G. Now, it's on my Android.

Speaking of weather forecast, the HTC Desire Z gives me very accurate weather predictions. either its 3 days after or 3 days before. Where ever and when ever you travel. Guess it's from the HTC Sense? Hmmm its a very useful feature.

#Maxis 10 Reviewers Programme - HTC Desire Z

First of all, I would like to thank #Maxis10 for giving me this opportunity to be the chosen one for one of the #Maxis 10 Reviewers programme - HTC Desire Z. I was quite shocked when I received a call saying that I was the chosen one. In fact, I waited for so long and all my friends were chosen except me.

Finally, here I am after the past 6th phone reviews. I was looking forward for the HTC Desire HD but too bad Maxis took HTC Desire Z instead. But still, I will do a comparison on both phones although both comes from the same manufacturing brand company, HTC.

Apart from that, I got to test the HTC Desire HD from a random event after I got my Desire Z. Good thing I can compare it with my HTC Desire Z. After comparing it, both models cost the same but have a different outlook and specs.

By the way, my bother is getting the HTC Desire HD from DIGI. And I'm currently using the HTC Desire Z. Ahh bother indeed brothers. We can exchange phones!

The HD is a FULL touch screen phone. It has a bigger screen, taller, wider, thinner. As you can see from above. OH well, very obvious it beats my HTC Desire Z through the outer looks. For a guy like me, I would prefer more on HUGE Screens. I'm more to a entertainment/lifestyle person. The HD has 8 Megepixel camera with a CPU Processing Speed of 1GHZ. The Z is only 800 MHz CPU Processing Speed and 5 Megapixel for the camera. There's not much difference, it's still good enough for a 5 Mega and a 800MHz CPU processor.

One thing similar for both phones is that, it runs on ANDROID 2.2 (Froyo) with HTC Sense.

What is HTC Sense? Adapted from http://www.htc.com/ - HTC Sense is an experience designed around many little insightful ideas. Ideas that seem so simple, you think "why hasn't any one else thought of that? It just makes sense." It's a phone experience full of lots of little surprises, delighting you every time. Will be blogging about this feature on my next blog.

One thing attractive I've observed on this HTC Desire Z is the dual keyboard. Which is a plus point for a touch screen phone. Normally people will choose either a touch screen phones OR Smart qwerty keyboard phones. Here's an idea of HTC Desire Z, Two phones in One. "The Best Of Both Worlds"

This is ZoukOut 2010

Ya I know this would be one of my outdated post about ZOUKOUT 2010. Sigh, been quite busy lately until I have not enough time spend for blogging. Nevertheless, I still have to post this up because this is ZoukOut 2010. The most anticipated dance music festival. Woots!

ZouKOut 2010 was the largest outdoor dance festival in the region which was held 2 weeks ago @ Siloso Beach @ Sentosa Island, Singapore. It was massive! Superbly craazy! The crowd was superbly packed. Estimated crowd of 35,000 this year in the annual dance music festival. Hmmm. My first and last time being in ZoukOut? Hmm. We'll read more about it.

Yes, Thanks to Advertlets. Because of their free complimentary ZoukOut passes, I manage to be at the dance music festival in Singapore yao. Went down with a few Advertlets bloggers and stayed separately among ourselves. Blame the late bookings for our accommodations, me and 2 friends have no choice but to stay overnight at the street and MCD early in the morning for breakfast.

Anyway back to ZoukOut, I didn’t bring my camera in. No battery + phone was out of battery as well, thus all the pictures here were taken by feeqsays.com Thanks a lot bro!

Party people from KL. Well part of it. The rest all are scattered around. Tough for us to search among ourself, 35,000 party animals.

ZoukOut started from 8PM and lasted until 8AM in the morning. 12 hours of party. It's really tiring to stay that long. Oh mai but of course we didn’t stayed for all 12 hours, madness!

But as for some hardcore party-goers, they didn’t mind dancing through the night as famous DJs like Tiesto, David Guetta and many more played their songs at the event. Because they are one hell of a party animals. LOL. Not me! I'm just a average party-goer.

Oh hey, we manage to make a couple of new Singaporean friends! They very friendly people. I don't know about "kiasu" larhh. But chill. Guess the middle one is pretty hot yeah.

Schedule from 8pm-8am. 12 hours of party. Guess everyone was very exited for David Guetta and Tiesto DJ performance.

I love the lights the @ ZoukOut 2010. By the way, ready to Partaaaayyyy?

We managed to brave through the 35,000 crowd and everyone's been pushing each other. Struggle to even move out of the scene to a lesser crowd place. Many had been reported that girls being molested, "touch and go" or "touch and grab" you name it. Even you have no intention to do so, you'll still experience it naturally/automatically.

Still, we came to ZoukOut, Singapore for a reason. The party still goes on!

Half way through Tiesto, we were getting fed up of people keep pushing, snatching our spot, we went to the bar and get some drinks. 8 SingDollar per drink. Oh mai! I'm seriously poor being in Singapore. Speaking of which, im jealous of those VIP peeps, free flow of F&B from 8pm-8am. Daym.

Too bad we didn’t stayed until the end. Tiesto‘s slot was 3AM-5AM, David Guetta‘s slot was 5AM-7AM. didn’t get to catch David Guetta rocking down the beach. Ee left halfway through Tiesto‘s performance. We're all getting tired and ressless! Tcmaine was not feeling well, so yeah we went back around 5am in the morning. Continue our 2nd round at the roadside near the stairs. How sad!

Miss Universe Malaysia 2011 & 2012 Press Conference

Remember when the 18 finalist was chosen a while back in the early 2010, yes I was there and did a lil coverage on the event where they announce the 18 finalist.

This was a while back, as for now, you know that Nadine was crowned as the winner for Miss Universe Malaysia 2010. (photo below)

And was competing in the states and claim that she was one of the most influential candidates. A job well done to her though she did not won any title internationally but still, she did a great job!

This time around, I just got back from Miss Universe Malaysia 2011 & 2012 Press Conference 2 yesterday from One World Hotel.

Did came up a conclusion that in the year 2011, there will be two Miss Universe Malaysia Pageant proudly representing Malaysia to compete against the Miss Universe Pageant from all around the world.

This is Andrea Fonseka, the National Director of the Miss Universe Malaysia Organisation (MUMO) shared her vision to breathe new life into the Miss Universe Malaysia pageant.

She said : “We are going to crown our Miss Universe Malaysia winners one year in advance.”

This equates to more time for grooming and training, cultivating the most essential skills of a Miss Universe contender. Latin American nations are famous for producing Miss Universe winners typically between 8 to 12 months to train and prepare before competing. Malaysia has had to compress this complex process into a period of 3 to 4 months in previous years.

Andrea and Hans Isaac sharing with the media about the purpose and the main objective of the whole new concept to look for the RIGHT pageant to represent Malaysia.

Andrea has really high hope to get our Malaysian Pageant into Top 5 of Miss Universe.

MUMO intends to overcome this disadvantage by crowning both 2011 and 2012 Miss Universe Malays in 2011, the first time there have been two Miss Universe Malaysia pageants and winners in the same year.

For this transition, Miss Universe Malaysia 2012 would be identified and selected by September 2011. This in turn means that the Miss Universe Malaysia 2011 candidate will be crowned by February 2011 to compete at the 2011 Miss Universe Pageant.

Don't be surprised. I've no sunblock experience in my whole life but I would definitely love to experience it for once. This is because I've never been using one in my whole life. -.-"

I've been a quite active basketball player when the days in my secondary school life. YES, I play real basketball shit. Since form 1 till form 5. Was a school player at first then became a state player. As we had a lot of free time on our hands and with one similar interest that is basketball among our Chinese friends in school, we played all the time. And I mean literally every moment we could. YES, between and during classes and the moment school finishes everyday. This was how active I was back then.

I was so TAN back then and the worst thing was it cannot be cured back to my normal skin colour. DAMN. Technically I will have different tone colour on my body, arms, legs and face. Due to the hot sunny sun I stayed under for such a long period, I was known as a MALAY boy instead a Chinese. People was confused of my race from my skin tone colour. RACIST! Oh well, this happens when you don't take precaution of your own skin. As last time, we dont know anything about sunblock ya, and even if we do, we don't have the money to get one at the mart or something. Parent couldn't be bothered at all. So nothing matters.

And which my skin tone now, still. Do look like a malay kid. I wish to have some of the Ocean Potion products for prevention in case if I will have more sports activities under the sun again and I don't want to transform into MJ. Indian kid with very dark skin tone. That's really terrifying. Imagine you have a black skin tone colour and you're a freaking CHINESE KID. People will start asking like, What the hell happened man?

I have no idea. But I've heard Ocean Potion is quite a good brand as for my case. Apart from all the other brands out there. Ocean Potion is one of the well known products too. Why shouldn't I want to win Ocean Potion products? Eh of cause I want it. Maybe for review if my post doesn't qualify? lol :)

DAY #1 : Trip to Shanghai + Hennessy Artistry Shanghai Halo 2010

Haven't been sleeping the whole morning/night before my flight early in the morning. Afraid that I would have missed the flight as I need to reach KLIA as early as 7am in the morning. I better off not putting myself in danger. This is a very important trip, a rare opportunity trip.

Yes I manage to be there in the airport in time, flew in time without delay with Malaysian Airlines, reached Shanghai Airport after 5 tiring hours flying in the jetplane. Touched down with a welcome 12 degree Celsius temperature @ 3.00pm.

HELLO, CHINA. kissed ground.

And here's how my DAY #1 summarize trip photo + blog.

KLIA. MAS Airplane.

Food served in the plane. Not bad eh.

Passed by the famous bridge in Shaghai with LED lights glowing in the dark. which also looks like our PENANG bridge in Malaysia.

On our way to the Hotel, manage to took a silhouette shot of China's tallest building. Probably the 2nd highest building in the world. Higher than Malaysia's KLCC though.

Tired looks of Ringo and Helenness after the 5 hours flight and we're finally here at our hotel.

HAYATT Hotel on the Bund. This Luxurious 5 star hotel has the best view of the banks of the Huang Pu river at the northern end of the Bund in Shanghai, China.

BEST part was we were given a room each. Total we have 13 of us, which means 13 rooms in 3 nights! That would cost da BOMB for such hotel. *THUMBS UP* Meantime, lets check out my hotel room.

It's located in the 16th floor. Not to bad, compared to Ringo's 28 floor which is almost up to the top on the hotel. Lucky her as well her room has the BEST view of all. Nevertheless, mine is not too bad as well.

Pretty spacious and nice eh?

Bathroom equipped with bathtub as well. Where's my music and nuts? haha.

Room is equipped with highspeed wifi, YES but sadly I can't access social media websites like, FACEBOOK, YOUTUBE, TWITTER, FLICKR and even BLOGGER. Which made me unable to blog the whole trip there in Shanghai. Coulden't be bothered to get the VPN there which I have to idea how!

No LIVE updates, ended up updating it here back in KL.

Proceed to dinner time at night, we went to this very famous restaurant in Shanghai. Totally forgot what the restaurant called but it was an old classic chinese restaurant. When I said classic means it's really CLASSIC & OLD SCHOOL! Check it out.

Yeah you get what I mean.

Haven't said that, there's classical opera show performance as well.

When we were in Shanghai, they seriously fed us a lot. Shanghai Chinese Cuisine. Every meal we ate, there will be roughly more than 20 dishes on our table. For 13 people. STUFFING! Gained weight Yes i did but who cares, I don't often get this opportunity so yeah.

I stuffed whatever I can into my mouth... I is Enjoys!

After dinner went around the CITY for nightlife sightseeing. It's cold out there till I need to wear gloves. Weather prediction, 8 Degree Celsius.

In China, people are not allowed to sell stuff on the streets to foreigners nor ask for money. So, there will be standby small petrol police car around there to catch those people. Pretty efficient!

Such a wonderful city!

The night just started, we went to one of Shanghai's most famous private club lounges called MINT for a couple of drinks. Party everyday.

I'm finally back in KL people after 4D3N being in Shanghai, here's my teaser post for Hennessy Artistry Shanghai Halo 2010.

Before I start, I would love to thank MHD, Moet Hennessy Diageo Malaysia, The team and Andrew for sending me up for Hennessy Artistry Shanghai Halo 2010 event. Not everyone would get this chance and I did. I bet you guys surely jealous. hahah.

Anyhow, I've been treated very good up there in Shanghai. The accommodation, the F&B, the parties every night, the hospitality from travel agency, Etc. Probably I could survived even without bringing a single sen up to Shanghai. I would admit they overfed all of us, I gained weight! Damn. But I'm loving the food there in Shanghai yo.

A million Thanks to you guys, I really enjoyed my trip to Shanghai. :) Here's a lil sneak peak photos before I start my first post out of the 4 post. BTW, I can't blog in Blogger, Tweet nor Facebook in China. VPN sucks!

Hennessy Artistry Shanghai Halo 2010

YES. It will be a 4D3N stay in Shanghai. Leaving on the 2nd December 9.00 am flight. TODAY/LATER.

Here am I doing a short update on Hennessy Artistry Shanghai Halo 2010 before my flight. Well, this would be my first time going to Shanghai, China. Exited much. And how could I not accept the offer where I've been one of the selected one, put me into a jet plane to China attending events and party?

Year 2010 have seen the light of many Hennessy Artistry parties all around the globe which includes major cities such as Los Angeles, London, Taipei, New York as well as smaller cities such as Singapore n Kuala Lumpur as well.

This coming December 4th – Hennessy Artistry ‘The Global Art of Mixing‘ will set foot at the recently re branded six multi-level Shanghai Expo Mercedes Benz Arena which seats up to 18,000 – hoping to be equivalent to landmark venues e.g. O2 Arena @ London / Staples Center @ LA. Wooots. Will be going there together with 13 other people, flying off to Shanghai just to attend an event and party. This does sound way too good to be true.

Meantime, it's now 1.30am in the morning. 2nd Dec. Here are some updates you will expect in my journey to Shanghai in within these 4 days.

Yes this is SHANGHAI. The Bund. Exited much.

And so, we’ll be placed in Grand Hyatt Hotel on the Bund for three nights and best part is – its not twin sharing. It's for me, myself for my own for the whole 4D3N! It's a luxurious 5 star hotel and its uniquely located on the banks of Huang Pu River at the northern end of Bund in Shanghai.

Places we're going for sightseeing consist of Jade Buddha temple, Yu garden, City God Temple, Plaza 66, CITIC, Oriental Pearl TV tower, Shanghai Expo Mercedes Benz Arena and so much more!

I remembered I attended Last year's SHOUT! awards 2009 with my buddy Joshua Yap. That was after the Manchester United training session held at Studium Bukit Jalil. Special performance by Sean Kingston and now is his buddy Iyaz. I woulden't wanna miss this chance to attend this year's SHOUT! Award because I support LOCAL act as well. Not to mention, I am a CELCOM X PAX customer as well. :)

I wasn't really on the mood to snap photos that night but I manage to secure some vital shots for my post! Let's proceed to what's going on that night!

This is YUNA. Listened to her songs quite some time ago since last year when she was just performing on small geeks, events, and so on. Her songs was introduced by my Malay friend which he played it on his car CD player.

One thing special about her is that she has this British accent on her vocals which I really like and fall in love with her songs for the very first time. As for now, you seen her upstage with her guitar. Composing her own songs, probably also has the best props for the whole event as well.

Kudos to YUNA.

Here comes Mizz Nina. What Chu What Chu Waiting for. ( Remixed Bootleg Version) song was performed. I love the remix so much I can die playing it on loop on my PC.

Also, there's Dance Battle performance. Entertaining Indeed.

Well here is the pre-party award happening in The Library e@curve last Saturday. It was an awesome night as we'll got served free flow drinks throughout the night at the same time enjoy all the performance installed for us.

Personally love the X logo very much.

Proton Inspira & Mitsubishi Lancer X

Proton Inspira and Lancer X? Both cars are very similar to each other. Proton Inspira just launch their NEW Proton Waja replacement which is the Proton Inspira. Inspira in English : Inspiration. And Obviously it's inspired from the Lancer X.

Meantime, I found out something funny on a comic strip in the web about the Proton Inspira and the Lancer Evo X. LOL. Enjoys.

LOLOL. EPIC! Laugh la laugh all larhhh.

But to be honest, with the Proton Inspira; money spend and change a lil bit on the outer look which everyone would do for a minor modification on it and turn it exactly like the Lancer Evo X. Compared to how people modify their Proton Waja's & Proton Wira's to the Lancer Evo X. I bet everyone would gonna do that after they got the Proton Inspira. In fact, For sure will change the Proton logo into Mitsubishi.

But with all those above, it's a Good Buy right? The Proton Inspira. lol.

Looks exactly the same as the Lancer X dammit. 95% similarity. At once Mitsubushi Lancer/ Lancer Evo X is one of my dream car and now it's affordable to all Malaysians to owned it. Perhaps God is giving me the chance to get this Proton Inspira as soon as possible to get my dream car on the age of 22? :)

On-the-road price with insurance starts from RM80,549 onwards. It's very affordable with a salary of at least 3.5-4K a month to owned it. Should I in another 1 or 2 more years? Hmmm.

I'm the chosen one to attend the event in Shanghai on the 2nd of December 2010. All expense paid trip. Woots! Going off with other 2 selected bloggers in Malaysia which both are girls + the rest of the media people in Malaysia. We've been given a room each to stay for the whole 4D3N stay there.

Artiste line ups who's gonna perform? Ciara, Harlem Yu (庾澄慶), Seo In Young, and Sa Ding Ding, Mike Posner and many more! Line up is pretty nice. Occupancy for the event expectation would go to 5K of people!!! Thumbs up.

Look at the night view of Shanghai City. Simply amazing! i can't wait to go there. It's snowing there i heard. It's gonna be freaking cold but i think I can stand the weather with my fats. Also I will be bringing my lappie there and will be updating my whole trip everyday :) 4-5 POSTINGS!

As for now, I think I'm "labeling" myself as a "Party Blogger" category. Because most of my blog post are all related to parties/events and more parties post. HAHA. Don't chu think so?

What is RSS Feed? RSS Feed is a shorter term of “Really Simple Syndication”. Sounds complicated, but not really. Even I, at first, thought it was too robotic for me but once I understood the whole works, RSS do live up to its name =P

If you are using iTalk Whoa, you will notice a column of RSS Feed on the sidebar.

Ok maybe it doesn’t just apply on iTalk Whoa! You might even see it everywhere, YES! even on blogs!

So, what’s so great about RSS Feed?

Simple! You get news feed and updates on things that you prefer in a jiffy, simple, quick and easy. Samsung Galaxy Tab - Review

Yes The Samsung Galaxy Tab Launch took place last week and it's now available in the market! By the way, checked out The New Samsung Galaxy Tab launch post already? If not, you gotta read it first! Click HERE :)

Yes! I was one of the lucky blogger to get the Samsung Galaxy Tab from Samsung Malaysia and thanks to Advertlets for it. And again, just a brief introduction, recently Samsung just launched it's very first tablet device called the "Samsung Galaxy Tab". Which guarantees more possibilities on the GO! The new device from Samsung looks like this! (below)

Beautiful isn't it? It caught my attention when I first saw it. The LOVE at first SIGHT. It looks like a smaller version of the iPad and also the bigger version of the Samsung galaxy S smart phone. Photo (below)

Well, you can see the difference sizes of the device above.

On second thought, is it good enough to compete with the iPad? What makes them both a true competitor among each other in the market? When Apple introduced the iPad, many were probably disappointed to learn that it would run the same operating system found on Apple's iPhone and iPod Touch devices. "Isn't the iPad just a big oversized iPhone?" people wondered. Samsung has a similar problem to overcome with the Galaxy Tab. Isn't the Tab, which runs Google's Android 2.2 Froyo operating system (the same one found on nearly a dozen smartphones out there), really just a big Android phone?

It's gonna be a showdown between the Samsung Galaxy Tab specs versus the Apple iPad. Everyone has the same thoughts as well? The answer is YES or NO? We shall find out.

As an iPad owner, at times i felt that it's a lil too oversize for me to bring out for a casual outing, meeting and so on. Felt a lil clumsy to hold which leads to discomfort. Thus, the size of the Samsung Galaxy Tab would be perfect! It's exactly half the size of the iPad and it fits my whole palm holding it.

As you can see, it's a lot smaller than the iPad at 7-inch TFT LCD with 1024 x 600 resolution (WSVGA) compared to the iPad's 9.7-inch LED-backlit glossy wide screen with IPS technology. I can be honest to you that both iPad and Samsung Galaxy Tab is a great product and both has it's pros and cons. Lets find out!

One GREAT thing about the Samsung Galaxy Tab is.... You wouldn't believe it, it can make calls and able to function as a PHONE. That's how MAXIS telco service provider got involved. At once I brought the Tab out just to try out and phone calls went in, picked up and put the Tab over my ears and talk. Well, it does look cool to most of the people but it looks weird to me. What?! The stone age era is evolving eh?

Haven't said that, I realize that it only functional as LOUDSPEAKER. If you don't really wanna look like a freak holding that oversize phone onto your ears, you would prefer getting an earphone jack or a bluetooth headset instead. like this dude (below)

On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Tab has 2 sides cameras function which the iPad doesn't! Another plus point. With 3MP for the back camera and 1.3MP for the front camera.

Back camera for taking pictures and HD videos. It's great taking it on daylight and I think it's not really useful in the dark.

In addition, you can even search for what places/restaurants are nice to dine/ places to go using the camera with GPS system. Pretty cool. It's somewhat like the foursquare app thing, people check in places, leave tips, remarks and share with everyone around the world!

For the front camera, it works for stuff like video conferencing, skype and so on. Either using 3G or WIFI connection. Works on both ways. Not bad....

Haven't said that, With 3G HSUPA connectivity, WiFI and Bluetooth 3.0, the Samsung Galaxy Tab enhances users mobile communication on a whole new level. Video conferencing and push email on the large 7-inch display make communication more smooth and efficient. For the telephony, the Samsung Galaxy Tab turns out to be perfect speakerphone on the desk, or a mobile phone on the move via bluetooth headset.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab is designed for the perfect balance of portability and function. WIth its striking 7 inch TFT-LCD screen, light body, users are able to experience PC-like browsing while enjoying a full mobile experience, perfect for watching movies, clips, viewing pictures, play games and e-reading in such handy device.

Samsung Galaxy Tab is easy to carry, it's handy, it's perfect sized for a mini computer plus phone and it enable you to use it anywhere and where ever you go! Compare it to the iPad. Definitely you will have a problem bringing it around.

Speaking of the pros and cons of the Samsung Galaxy Tab and the iPad, there's MORE!

The thing I like about the Samsung Galaxy Tab is transferring folders/files from PC to the TAB makes one life easier. It's way easier compared to the iPad which you needa access iTunes and SYNC over whatever stuff you wanna transfer over to the iPad. Also, the Samsung Galaxy Tab supports all sorts of video format compared to the iPad which only support certain format which gives you a big hassle on converting all the media folder and transfer it over to the iPad.

Thus, I wouldn't admit that the touch sensitivity of the iPad wins the Samsung Galaxy Tab by a mile which they needa improve on. Other than that, it's all good for the Samsung Galaxy Tab.

Also, the Samsung Galaxy tab provides memory card slot and the iPad don't. However people might think that 32 or 64GB is way more than enough. But think twice, perhaps movies/clips that you wanna put in there would occupy a lottt of space so there's still an advantage on having a memory card slot on the device itself.

Battery wise on both devices, the iPad would last longer than the Samsung Galaxy Tab. Way longer than you expect. At once, my iPad last for 6 days straight without charging, for just casual use. By playing games, did some surfing, download apps, viewing photos and watch a lil videos from youtube. Do take not why? Because the Samsung Galaxy Tab itself works as a phone, with other battery consumption like camera + internet 3G + entertainments etc.

Price range for both devices are quite similar. But the iPad seems to be cheaper it seems. Retail Price for the Samsung Galaxy Tab in Malaysia is RM2,699. Apple iPad pricing will be different depends on the currency of the particular country you're at. I bought mine from Australia, which cost me (convert into RM) is RM2,230.

Lastly, applications which you can find in "iTunes" & Android Market. I would give a conclusion that iTunes would be a better choice for Application wise and they're the leading market for applications. Thus, the iPad get to have more apps compared to the Samsung Galaxy Tab. But if you're not much a gaming/apps person, the Samsung Galaxy Tab would be perfect!

Anyway, here's a table of the specs comparison for both Samsung Galaxy Tab & and Apple iPad.

Some of you might think that having an iPhone or a Samsung Galaxy S is good/small enough compared to the iPad and the Samsung Galaxy Tab, that's fine. But for those who loves having huge screens to satisfy your needs in your daily lives, this review would be quite useful for you.

Well at least we know that a competitor came up with something new which is the Samsung Galaxy Tablet and that makes a fair competition in the market for consumers to decide which would they prefer. At least, a CHOICE of TWO. Rather than just ONE! That would wrap up my review on the Samsung Galaxy Tab - in comparison with the Apple iPad.

Remember the AXE Cuci Kereta video I posted?

A couple weeks ago. I was invited to attend AXE Cuci Kereta Cuci Mata event at Subang Pyramid (beside republic) Where these AXE girls are suppose to wash your car for free and do a lil small show towards it! Appart from that, there's wild, wet, exiting games installed for all passbyers, customers, bloggers and invited guest to experience.

The main point of this event is to promote their men perfume. lol. Once purchases, gets free car wash, car sticker and T-shirts! Which only cost RM 10.88++ Worth it no?

What's AXE without the girls? Lets take a look at the AXE girls. There's quite a number of them. I lost count. All of em are hot and sexy. See for yourself.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Launch

Heard of the New Samsung Galaxy Tab? If you've not, you gotta read this.

Last week. Samsung just launched it's very first tablet device called the "Samsung Galaxy Tab". Which guarantees more possibilities on the GO! The new device from Samsung looks like this! (below)

Beautiful isn't it? It caught my attention when I first saw it. The LOVE at first SIGHT. I'm so gonna get it when it's ready for sale. It looks like a smaller version of the iPad and also the bigger version of the Samsung galaxy S smart phone. And the GREAT part is, it's functional as a PHONE!

On second thought, is it good enough to compete with the iPad? Which makes them both a true competitor among each other in the market right now.

We shall find out soon! :)

On the other hand, it's Samsung Galaxy Tab launch last week in Malaysia at Sungei Wang Plaza, Bukit Bintang. Let's check it out.

Avira Anti Virus 'Double Value Double Speed' Launch!

I never blog about any anti-virus software before and even use one before. But thanks to Smashpop for inviting me to Avira's Anti Virus 'Double Value Double Speed' Night Launch at a new luxurious place in KL called GTower. With an MSC status. Woots.

Its Located at 199 Jalan Tun Razak. Opposite MINI & BMW showroom. Been there for almost 5 times now in total. I'm loving that place a lot.

Oh well, speaking of Avira Anti Virus, reminds me of these ladies (below).

Avira booth @ PC Fair was so far the biggest, attractive. By far the Best Anti virus to my point of view.

Before I start, wanted to know what Anti Virus you're using right now? If it's not Avira, nevermind. Let me tell you why you should be use Avira. After reading this, you would wanna consider twice maybe trice for using Avira! :)

It was quite a busy night for me as I had to go 3 places that night. So i quite off went back early. But still, I was there before it started! Still a good thing. Despite in the end of the event, someone told me my name was chosen for the lucky draw twice!

Lets start off with the event. Started with an opening speech by Mr. Richard Yamamota, Vice President APAC. and Launching the ceremony as well.

Hennessy Artistry 2010 @ Mines Resort, MIECC

The event that I've been waiting since last year's Hennessy Artistry @ Bukit Kiara. Thus, Behold it's finally here. Biggest Hennessy Artistry 2010 happening at Mines Resort MIECC.

With happening Artiste performing. Da Mouth, Deja Voodoo Spells, Foulworks & Eva-T, Kardinal Offshall, Da Mouth, DJ Alex Dreamz, Mizz Nina and many other interesting acts. Woots!

Hennessy Artistry party to me is getting better and better each time! I've never miss a single HA party as you can see because it's something I shouldn't miss and something everyone will be waiting for. I'd pretty much blown away in what will undoubtedly be one of the largest and most sophisticated clubbing events the country has ever seen. By far the BEST.

Thank you Hennessy Malaysia for organizing such a memorable party.

Speaking of party, what the use of partying without the right company, without the right drinks, without the right event. Not to mention that having tons of pictures back home as memories is very crucial for such party like this.

I couldn't have such nice pictures here in this post without the help of my Nikki, Nikon D300s. For now, I shall let the photo speaks.

So from now on, I will be changing my batteries less often because Energizer is super long lasting and it's proven with my own experience/eyes/feel. Like right now, I'm using the Energizer Ultimate Lithium for my Nikon SB900 Speedlight which drains batteries very fast!

And guess what! I can roughly use it for 4-5 event maximum with a ratio of 150 shots per event with FLASH!
